The Enola Gay is the B-29 Superfortress bomber that dropped "Little Boy", the first atomic bomb ever used in warfare, when the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) attacked Hiroshima, Japan August 6, 1945, just before the end of World War II. (Source is Wikipedia). Before he flew the B-29 Superfortress that dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan, pilot Paul Tibbets took a practice run in Pratt and nearly clipped the top of the old Roberts Hotel!
